Your Voice, Our Future: Building a Stronger Food & Solidarity Together!

Exciting times are brewing at Food and Solidarity.

As you may know, we've just concluded our recent elections, bringing in a fresh wave of dedicated directors to help steer our ship. This election wasn't just a formality; it was a powerful testament to the vibrant, democratic spirit that underpins everything we do.

But here's the thing: our strength, our impact, and our ability to truly build a better Newcastle, doesn't just rest on the shoulders of our directors. It rests on your shoulders.

Being a member of Food and Solidarity is so much more than accessing essential food parcels or finding support when you're facing housing challenges. While we are immensely proud to offer this vital work, the heart of our organisation beats with a deeper purpose: solidarity.

Solidarity means coming together, not just in times of need, but in times of decision-making. It means lending your voice, sharing your insights, and actively shaping the direction of an organisation that is dedicated to empowering our community.

Your participation is the fuel that drives us forward. When you engage in our elections, when you attend our meetings, whether virtually from the comfort of your home or in person, sharing a cuppa with fellow members, you're not just observing; you're building. You're building a stronger, more resilient Food and Solidarity. You're building a more connected Newcastle.

These meetings are where the magic happens. They're where we discuss upcoming initiatives, tackle challenges, and collectively strategise on how we can best serve our community.

They are your opportunity to:

  • Influence decisions: Have your say on how Food and Solidarity operates and evolves.

  • Share your experiences: Your lived experience is invaluable and helps us understand the real needs on the ground.

  • Connect with fellow members: Build relationships, share ideas, and strengthen the bonds that make our community so special.

  • Be a part of something bigger: Contribute to a movement that's genuinely making a difference in people's lives.

We believe that by actively participating, you're not just helping Food and Solidarity; you're investing in a more just and equitable future for everyone in Newcastle. You're part of a collective effort to build a community where everyone has a seat at the table and where no one is left behind.

Ready to make your voice heard and be an active part of our collective future?
