We’re a Big Issue Changemaker 2025—But the Fight Isn’t Over

Food & Solidarity has been named a Big Issue Changemaker 2025, recognising the work we’ve done to fight poverty, resist evictions, and hold those in power accountable.

Over the past year, we have:

This award is recognition of what collective action can achieve—but the fight isn’t over.

Why We Organise

While the council and landlords ignore working-class people, we take action. We’ve seen families left in unlivable conditions, tenants facing evictions, and people struggling to afford food. Politicians talk, but nothing changes unless we fight back together.

That’s why direct action works. We’ve forced landlords to fix disrepair, stopped families from being thrown onto the street, and exposed the council’s inaction.

Join the Fight

We don’t do charity—we organise. If you’re struggling with housing, food, or support, you’re not alone. Join us and take back control of your material conditions.
