Yes. Any member can submit a proposal for consideration at a general meeting. Proposals should be written in advance so members have time to read and understand them before the meeting. Directors or elected members are responsible for supporting members in preparing proposals.
-
Food & Solidarity uses a structured process for considering proposals. Members can ask clarifying questions, share brief reactions, raise objections, and work together to improve proposals before voting. The process aims to support transparent, collective decision-making.
-
Members are expected to treat one another with respect. Food & Solidarity's code of conduct rejects discrimination, harassment, bullying, and abusive behaviour. Members should respect democratic decisions and raise disagreements openly in a way that respects member democracy.
