Food & Solidarity Newcastle provides free food parcels to anyone in Newcastle facing food insecurity. Unlike traditional food banks, you don't need a referral from a GP or social worker, you can access our services directly.
How to Get Emergency Food Support:

What's Included in Food Parcels:
Parcels include a selection of essential items. You choose from available options each week depending on stock.
- Fresh vegetables (for example: carrots, potatoes and onions)
- A seasonal choice item (such as leeks or swede; cucumber or broccoli)
- Mixed fruit (with the option to exclude any fruit you do not eat)
- Tinned staples (such as tomatoes, beans or pulses)
- A carbohydrate staple (for example pasta or rice)
- Household essentials such as toilet roll when available

We operate on solidarity, not charity. Everyone deserves food, and you deserve dignity.
Beyond Emergency Support:
While we provide immediate food support, we also organize to address the root causes of food poverty. As a member (from £3/month based on income), you can receive regular food parcels and participate in collective action to create lasting change.
