All of Us, Working Together This November

Every parcel packed, every delivery made, and every message sent is part of how we look after one another. At Food & Solidarity, there’s no difference between the people who make parcels and the people who collect them, we’re all community members, sharing the same work and the same care.

Building Community Power, One Shift at a Time

Food & Solidarity runs because members come together each week to do the work of care, sorting food, driving, phoning, organising, coordinating. Some of us collect parcels one week and pack them the next. What matters isn’t who does what, but that we do it together.

There’s no charity here, only shared Community responsibility. We don’t wait for someone else to fix things. We use what we have, learn from one another, and make sure everyone in our network is supported and fed.

Everyone contributes. Everyone benefits. The rota isn’t a list of helpers, it’s the map of how we take care of each other. Joining it means taking your turn in the work that keeps our community strong.

This Is Solidarity in Practice

Across Newcastle, members of Food & Solidarity organise to fight against growing up poor. Our weekly parcel work is part of something bigger: a living network that connects food, housing, and direct action. The rota keeps that network moving.

Below, you can mark your availability for November 2025. Whether you’re on phones, packing, driving, or coordinating, you’re part of the same collective effort. Let’s keep it running together.
