Homes For Us Rep Nomination

Food & Solidarity is electing up to two representatives to sit on the Homes for Us Organising Committee, the body that provides collective leadership to the alliance campaigning for housing justice for all.

This is not a personal platform role. As an F&S rep you will represent the agreed organisational position at committee meetings, feed back to F&S, and help develop and deliver alliance strategy alongside other member organisations.

Key details:

  • Term: 1 June – 30 September 2026 (initial 4 months, likely extended to 14 months subject to funding)

  • Time commitment: Fortnightly online meetings on Wednesdays 2–3pm, plus occasional in-person meetings and task-based working groups

  • Compensation: £666 for the initial term, paid to your organisation if you’re in a paid role, or directly to unpaid members

  • Who can stand: Any F&S member Max two reps can be elected from F&S.

Internal F&S election timeline:

  • Nominations close: 11.59pm, Thursday 30 April 2026

  • Voting opens: Friday 1 May 2026, closes 11.59pm, Monday 4 May 2026

  • Selected reps will then be automatically nominated for the Homes for Us Organising Committee ahead of the alliance vote.

How to nominate yourself:

Complete the short internal nomination form by 30 April 11.59pm (below)

The form asks for a 100-word statement on why you want to represent F&S and what skills you bring, along with a few monitoring questions (gender, ethnicity) required for the alliance’s diversity filtering.
